Fayetteville police are investigating who set fire to landscaping in front of the Fayette County Alternative School Sunday night, police said.

Although the fire was reported by someone who called 911, that person didn't witness anyone at the scene, police said. The security camera system at the school is being reviewed by detectives to determine if the incident was caught on tape, police said.

The fire was reported shortly after 10:30 p.m., police said.

The Fayetteville Fire Department is working with police to determine if an accelerant was used, police said.
