The November election is approaching in Tyrone, with the qualifying period set to begin in just over a week. Voters will decide on elected offices that include the mayor and the at-large council seats for Post 1 held by Mike Smola and Post 2 held by Paul Letourneau.

The qualifying period begins Aug. 27 and ends Aug. 31 and runs from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. each day. The qualifying fee for the November race is $288 for mayor and $144 for council seats.
