Award winners and attendees were enchanted at the annual Meeting Professionals International Georgia chapter’s Phoenix Awards held on June 27 at the Sheraton Atlanta hotel. The “Enchantment” theme set the stage for cutting-edge design, five-star food and beverage and a decadent after-party, taking guests from the ‘70s to present time in high style. Lance Hornecker, GaMPI’s immediate past president, congratulated all the award-winning individuals, committees and sponsors who, “through their hard work and commitment to excellence, helped GaMPI have a successful and exciting year.” Peachtree City resident Marian Spencer CMP, Marketing Lead at MTC Technologies, was this year’s recipient of the Planner of the Year Award. Spencer chairs the Program Committee, serves on the CMP Committee, and contributes regularly to BreakOut and eConnect. Spencer is a previous recipient of the Committee of the Year Award and the Shining Star Award. A retired member of the United States Army, Spencer continues to donate her time to the United Services Organization. In 2003, as a volunteer for the United Sates Army, Spencer established a Distinguished Visitors Bureau in Baghdad, Iraq. For more information, visit www.gampi.org. login to post comments |
