Waterlace Community comes alive with completed homesFri, 08/10/2007 - 1:17pm
By: The Citizen
The recently completed Entry Plaza to WaterLace is a mere hint of the buzz of activity happening within Macauley’s first Fayette County community. With three neighborhoods now selling, this 600 acre lake community offers a respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Two new model homes have opened in the Windsail neighborhood. These fully-furnished models, built by David Weekley Homes and Peachtree Residential Properties, are open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Homes in Windsail feature spacious floor plans as well as large outdoor living areas, currently one of the Southeast’s most sought-after home design trends. Cleveland Elementary, the new Bennett’s Mill Middle School and the Fayette Family YMCA are all just a short walk from the neighborhood that, when complete, will feature 132 homes priced from the high $400s to more than $600,000. Several spectacular homes are ready for move-in, and many others are pre-sold and under construction. Located on the shores of Silver Lake, one of two lakes prominently featured in WaterLace, the Lullwater neighborhood is an enclave of 14 custom lots priced from the $140s to over $250,000. Many of the lots will have lake views. Lullwater offers a unique benefit to potential homeowners – purchasers can choose their lot now and wait up to 30 months to begin construction with one of WaterLace’s approved builders. Favorable financing programs are also available. Macauley has announced that home sales in Reflections will begin this month. The custom homes in the Reflections neighborhood will be built by five local builders – Chadwick Homes, Chris Parrott Homes, Huddleston-Thompson, JDC Homes and Premier Homes of Georgia. Reflections is located on the southern shore of Lake WaterLace and, like the other neighborhoods in WaterLace, homes in Reflections will be situated on one acre lots. Prices range from the high $600s to more than $1 million. The Lake Club at WaterLace, which will be the social center of the community, is now under construction. The Lake Club, with its Nantucket-inspired Lake Cottage, will offer homeowners amenities unsurpassed in surrounding communities. When complete, the Lake Cottage will feature a Gathering Hall with an Entertaining Kitchen and wrap-around Party Deck. A Fitness Center outfitted with the latest exercise equipment is also available to homeowners and it overlooks the pool, tennis courts and Lake WaterLace. Outside, families will enjoy activities in the Children’s Play Park, complete with a playhouse replica of the Fayette County Courthouse, Family Fun Pool and four tennis courts with pavilion. Other unique aspects of the community include a serene Sculpture Garden Walk, Cutting Garden, canoe and kayak racks, and a Great Lawn for special events and games. Located between Fayetteville and Peachtree City just south of GA Highway 54, WaterLace offers unparalleled convenience to two local employment hubs: Piedmont Fayette Hospital and Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. The Fayette Family YMCA shares the Entry Plaza with WaterLace. For more information on this community, please call (770) 461-0544 or visit www.WaterLace.com. |
