In late July Mary Chaudoin returned from her second summer session as a member of the USA Volleyball Youth National A2 Team. Made up of the nations top 50 players, the squad trained and competed for ten days in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl., competing against teams from Canada and Puerto Rico.

This is the second year Chaudoin was selected to the US team. More than 1,500 players attended nationwide regional tryouts vying for positions on the squad.

Chaudoin will be starting her senior year as a member of the Starrs Mill High School girl’s volleyball team that was the Georgia State 4-AAAA runner-up in 2006. This will be her third year as a varsity member. In the 2006 season Chaudoin was a preseason and postseason first team All-State selection as well as regional “Player of the Year.”

Chaudoin just completed her third year as a member the A5 Mizuno Volleyball Club of Atlanta. In July her team competed in the National Championships in Minneapolis, then she joined the U.S. team in Ft. Lauderdale. In February Mary was recognized by PrepVolleyball.com as an All-American Honorable Mention, one of only 34 juniors nationally to receive All-American honors.
