Ici Paris treats Christian City housemoms to a day at the spa

To honor the housemothers at the Home For Children at Christian City, Ici Paris Day Spa and Salon at The Avenues in Peachtree City, recently gave each "mom" the special gift of pampering. Seven ladies enjoyed facials, massages, manicures, pedicures or hair cuts at no cost.

“These special housemoms do so much to help the less fortunate children in our community. I wanted to do something nice for them to show my appreciation for their amazing work,” said Beata Nader, owner of Ici Paris Salon.

Christian City has been caring for neglected, abandoned or otherwise less fortunate children for over 40 years in a residential, family centered environment since they opened the first cottage to eight little boys in 1965. Children live in cottages on Christian City's campus with full-time house parents who dedicate their lives to providing loving homes for those who need a safe place to live.

“This is a very generous gift to our housemoms...they are tirelessly devoted, caring women,” stated Phil Kouns, chief operating officer of Christian City. “Our houseparents are well educated, smart women, often with advanced college degrees, who could work anywhere. Being a housemother is their ministry and they are truly the backbone of the Home for Children at Christian City's continued success. We are grateful to Ici Paris and their staff for providing a relaxing day for our housemoms who are so busy taking care of others.”

The Home for Children at Christian City, located at 7345 Red Oak Road in Union City, is a nonprofit, nondenominational organization that relies on businesses, churches, civic groups and individuals for support.
