Fayetteville resident Lionel “Papa” Jones has been nominated for a Stellar Award, the Gospel event that recognizes and honors African American artists, for his recently released album, “Papa Jones.” Jones has been nominated for both “Instrumental Gospel CD of the Year” at the Stellar Awards as well as an En Sound Music Award for “Best Jazz Album.” Jones was featured in The Citizen in April of this year.
