Mt. Olive plans summer revival
Mt. Olive Baptist Church will have a Summer Revival Wednesday, Aug. 8 through Friday, Aug. 10, with services nightly at 7 p.m. The guest revivalist is the Rev. Steven Coleman, senior pastor of Little Vine Baptist Church in Tyrone. The church is at 192 Graves Rd., Fayetteville. Phone: 770-461-6526.

Hartford UMC’s revival starts tonight
Hartford United Methodist Church will hold a revival Wednesday through Friday, Aug. 8-10, at 7:30 p.m. each night. The revivalist for Wednesday will be the Rev. K. G. Bailey of White Oak Grove Church in Senoia. On Thursday, Reverend B. J. Woods of God’s Tabernacle of Praise in Union City will preach. Flat Rock AME plans revival, anniversary
Flat Rock African Methodist Episcopal (A.M.E.) Church will hold a revival Thursday, Aug. 9, at 7 p.m. The Rev. Brian Hart of St. John A.M.E. Church of Fairburn will bring the message. The church also will celebrate its 153rd church anniversary Sunday, Aug. 12, at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. Frederick D. Forsh, pastor of Liberty Hill A.M.E Church in Sharpsburg, will preach the service. Men’s Encounter set for Saturday
Men’s Encounter, a non-denomination gathering for men led by Minister Jesse Asmond of Jesse Asmond Ministries, will hold its monthly meeting Saturday, Aug. 11, from 8-10 a.m. at the Hampton Inn in Fayetteville. Men’s Encounter focuses on men’s issues, experiences and successes. Saturday’s meeting will center on men’s health issues. The Hampton Inn is in Fayetteville at 110 Meeting Place Dr., off Ga. Lighthouse will celebrate first birthday Sunday

Back to school activities set for Sunday at Summit

Nat’l Heights to host Fayette Samaritans speaker
Those who would like to learn more about the Fayette Samaritans, a Christian outreach ministry which provides food, clothing, and financial assistance to those in need, are invited to National Heights Baptist Church’s fellowship hall Wednesday, Aug. 15 at 6:45 p.m. A Fayette Samaritans speaker will discuss the role of the organization as it helps to meet the critical needs of Fayette County residents who do not qualify for assistance from other agencies. FFBC to offer GriefShare on Tuesdays
Fayetteville First Baptist Church will offer GriefShare, a 13-week Bible-based program for those who have lost a loved one, on Tuesday nights from 6:30 - 8 p.m. A new session will begin next Tuesday, Aug. 14. Each class begins with a video and is followed by discussion.
