Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Thompson of Petal, Miss. announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Lynn Thompson, to Arthur Wilson II, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wilson of Fayetteville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Geneva Bateman and the late Willie Dallas Bateman of Gloster, Miss. and Mr. and Mrs. John Thompson of Petal, Miss. She is a graduate of North Pike High School in Summit, Miss. She presently is employed by Wachovia Bank and is enrolled in Greenville Technical College Nursing Program in Greenville, S.C.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Morse of Novi, Mich., Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wilson of Atlanta, and Mrs. Mildred Perdue of La Grange. He is from Fayetteville and is a commercial contractor for A & S Wilson Enterprises, Inc., presently providing services for the Georgia Aquarium.

The wedding will be Sept. 1, 2007, at 4 p.m. at the Crawford House in Hattiesburg, Miss. A reception will follow the ceremony.
