• DiGiusto decorated with medal Army Sgt. Darren P. DiGiusto has been decorated with the Army Commendation Medal. The medal is awarded to individuals who, while serving in any capacity with the Army, have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism, meritorious achievement or meritorious service. DiGiusto, a food service sergeant, is assigned to the 696th Forward Support Company, 2nd Battalion, 4th Field Artillery Regiment, Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla. He has served in the military for 15 years. He is the brother of Daniel E. DiGiusto of Tyrone, Ga. • Ritchie earns Eagle rank Scoutmaster Dannie McCranie presented Alex Ritchie of Troop 175, sponsored by the Peachtree City United Methodist Men, with his Eagle Scout award at a Court of Honor ceremony held on May 6. Ritchie designed and built a picnic area with tables at the Fayette County Justice Center for the citizens of Fayette County as his Eagle project. The Hot Dog Hut, Ritchie’s own business, was used to raise the funds for materials for his project. Ritchie graduated from Starr’s Mill High School in May and plans on attending Georgia Southern College in Statesboro in the fall. His parents are David and Gina Ritchie of Peachtree City. • Wallace graduates with honors Karen Denise Wallace, daughter of Kenny and Nancy Wallace of Fayetteville, Ga., graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia on May 12, 2007, earning a bachelor of science degree in middle grades education. Wallace is now pursuing her master's degree in education from the University of West Georgia. • Ellis graduates from the University of Florida John Joseph Ellis received a bachelor of science degree from the school of business administration with a major in management from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla. Ellis has been accepted into the master of science program from the Center of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business. He is currently employed at Wachovia and as a teaching assistant at the University of Florida. Ellis is a 2003 graduate of McIntosh High School and is the son of Dominique and Dorene Ellis. login to post comments |
