Lani Nicole Detamore and Stephen Ralph Gertz were married Saturday, March 17, 2007, at Peachtree Christian Church in Atlanta. Dr. James L. Collins conducted the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Maj. Gen. and Mrs. Lowell Coan Detamore of Peachtree City and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard David White of Dothan, Ala., and Mrs. Saranel Detamore and the late Lowell Coan Detamore of Huntsville, Ala.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Allen Gertz of Marietta, and grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph William Gertz of Loraine, Ohio, the late Jerome Laurer Gearhart, and the late Mrs. Frances Louise Porter Gearhart of Lighthouse Point, Fla.

The bride was given in marriage by her father and was attended by her sister, Kristi Ann Detamore of Atlanta, who served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Shannon Parrish Clark, Mrs. Rebecca Sullivan Egsieker, Mrs. Anna Armstrong Emblom, Bonnie Leslie Flanders, Trisha Lynn Hedden, Mrs. Allison White Herr, Mrs. Charity Jinright Lutes, Mrs. Sarah Gertz McEntyre, Mrs. Heather Norris Middleton, Suzanne Adams Vickery, and Anna Wright Fargason. Annsleigh Elizabeth Clark served as flower girl.

The groom’s best man was Joshua Paul Englis of Atlanta. Groomsmen were Roger Allen Gertz, Scott Porter Gertz, Jeffrey Stuart Gertz, Jameson Titus Clifford, Radley Blake Detamore, Jeffrey Victor Forte, Michael Patrick Hoffman, Craig Allan Norris, Remy Reid Parker, David Andrew Proko, and Judd Jefferson Robins. Colston Porter Gertz served as ring bearer.

The bride wore an ivory strapless couture gown with a hand-sewn beaded bodice and silk cathedral length train. She carried a bouquet of hydrangeas, lilies and white roses wrapped in an ivory satin ribbon and secured with heirloom brooches.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Biltmore Imperial Ballroom.

Mr. and Mrs. Gertz honeymooned in Peter Island, of the British Virgin Islands, and now reside in Atlanta.
