Mr. and Mrs. Marcus E. Smith of Cairo announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Kelley Suzanne, to Christopher Allen Potts of Macon, son of Dr. and Mrs. John M. Potts Jr. of Peachtree City.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Ethel Boyette and the late Casey G. Boyette of Cairo and Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Smith of Thomasville. She is a 2000 graduate of Cairo High School and a 2004 summa cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia where she received a bachelor of science degree. She currently is a fourth year medical student at Mercer University School of Medicine where she will graduate in May of 2008 with a doctor of medicine degree.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Frances Suddath and the late W.E. Suddath Jr. of Jackson, Miss., and John M., Potts Sr. and the late Celestine Potts of Florence, Ala. He is a 2000 graduate of Landmark Christian School in Fairburn and a 2004 graduate of the University of Colorado where he received a bachelor of science degree in biology. He currently is a fourth year medical student at Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon and will graduate in May of 2008 with a doctor of medicine degree.

The wedding will be Aug. 25, 2007, at 5:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Thomasville.
