The Dugout Club Strikers 17u Showcase Team made it to the title game of the Perfect Game BCS 17u National Championships in Ft Myers, Fla. Teams from around the nation competed at the Boston Red Sox spring training complex from July 17-22, with two Georgia teams making it all the way to the finals.

Playing their 11th game in five days, the Strikers lost in the championship game to the East Cobb Astros.

The Strikers, made up of players from Fayette, Coweta and throughout Georgia, finished with an impressive 8-3 record for the event. During the week they defeated BCS Regional Champions from Texas, Virginia, Utah, Florida, Indiana and New York to earn a berth in the finals.

The team is sponsored by and trains at The Dugout Club in Tyrone, and is coached by Dave Stephenson and Scott Camp.
