The Forest Park Lady Fury Basketball team finished in first place in the YBOA National Basketball Tournament held in Orlando, Fla., July 15-21. Gabrielle Seiler, from Peachtree City, participated on the team. There were 19 teams that participated in this tournament. The Lady Fury opened up pool play and went 4-0. During the championship bracket, the Lady Fury beat the Virginia Lady Shock , Team Sol DC, Pittsburgh Heat and the Southwest Dekalb Lady Eagles.

This placed the Lady Fury in the championship game. The Lady Fury beat the Baltimore Cougers 54-48 to win the tournament. The Lady Fury’s record for the tournament was 9-0.

Gabrielle Seiler was named the Most Outstanding Player. Brittney Guy and Ashley Cole were All Tournament and Chara Reeves took home the Hustle Award.
