Platinum Investments Inc., a well known home building company in Henry and Newton counties, has purchased the remaining unsold portion of the second and final phase of Towne Village, the fast-selling townhome development in Henry County.

Platinum Investments is headed by Alan Newsome, who has built nearly 170 custom homes in Henry County since he entered the building business in 1989. Newsome’s organization has been active in Ashley Downs, Magnolia Plantation and Cook’s Crossing in Henry County, and he has also built in Lakehaven in Henry County and Campbell Crossing in Newton County.

Phase I of Towne Village, which has 70 homes, is already sold out, and there have already been 14 sales in the final phase, which will have 75 homes. The homes in the townhome community are priced from $127,900 to $129,900. The original builder in the community was John Christian Homes, who was working with Stan Cameron to develop the community.

Towne Village is located on Racetrack Road just two miles from Interstate 75 and two miles from the picturesque, tree-lined square in downtown McDonough, the county seat of Henry County. The development’s sidewalks and streetlights add to the feeling of neighborhood and community.

Towne Village offers two-bedroom, two-bath ranch plans, three-bedroom, two and one-half bath two-story plans, and three-bedroom, two-bath ranch plans. The homes have from 1,400 to 1,850 sq. ft. in heated space, and all have a 240-sq. ft. one-car garage.

The homes contain a long list of standard features, including white or stained oak cabinets, ceiling fans in the master bedroom and greatroom, cable outlets in all bedrooms and greatroom, two-piece chairrail in the dining room, an installed security system, copper plumbing, a pantry (per plan), a Hotpoint stove, venthood and dishwasher, a four-ft. shower with a seat, and upgraded carpet pads.

The exteriors of the homes are composed of low maintenance vinyl with brick or stone accents, and the builder chooses all exterior colors. Front and back lawns are sodded, and the homes have covered porches and patios. The home owner association fee includes lawn care.

Towne Village has underground utilities, and each home comes with a mailbox and post.
