Jenny L. Gardner, 25, Peachtree City, died July 16, 2007. She was born May 12, 1982 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was a graduate of McIntosh High School, and received a bachelor of science degree in biology from North Georgia College and University. At the time of her death, she was working on a master's degree in medical management. This year she was an ambassador for "The Relay for Life." As a non-smoker diagnosed with lung cancer, she worked to bring awareness to the rising number of lung cancer cases in non-smokers. A celebration of life service and prayer service was held at the Carmichael-Hemperley chapel. Survivors include her parents, Bill and Amy Gardner; and a brother, Zach Gardner. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 61 Broadway, New York, NY 10006. Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
