Mr. and Mrs. Marty Sandlin of Peachtree City announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Whitney Gail, to Travis Jason Hite, son of Mrs. Beth Hite and the late Mr. Gary Hite of Suwanee.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Zachary Sandlin of Evans and Mrs. Patricia Cannington of Jacksonville, Fla. and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Swain, of Inglis, Fa. She is a 2000 graduate of McIntosh High School in Peachtree City and a 2004 graduate of Georgia Southern University where she received a bachelor’s degree in accounting and was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She currently is working towards her CPA while employed as an accountant at BlueLinx Corporation in Atlanta.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Milton Hite and the late Rene Hite of Suwanee and Mrs. Alice Lubbers and the late Alvin Lubbers of Lilburn. He is a 1995 graduate of West Gwinnett High School and a 2000 graduate of the University of Georgia where he received a bachelor’s degree in communications. He currently is employed at Intermountain Orient as a commodity lumber trader in Peachtree City.

The wedding will be Aug. 25, 2007, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nev. The couple will reside in Marietta.
