• Landmark Christian’s wrestling team defeated Walker 48-35 and OLM 49-15 Wednesday night to remain undefeated this year.

Undefeated wrestlers this year are Chad Thames, Roger Gunter, Neil Langford, Tim Creamer and Cody Crook.

The War Eagles faced Lovett last night and will wrestle at Pace Academy today.

Sandy Creek defeated McIntosh High School 42-29 on Tuesday. The team received praise from McIntosh coach Nick Bellantoni.

“Sandy Creek is fielding a tough team this year and it looks to me like they have several wrestlers that will be competing for medals at the State Meet in February,” said Bellantoni. “My hat off to Coach Scott Smith, he is obviously doing a great job with his team plus Alex Willis-Cruz at 145lbs and Travis Cooper at 171 are very tough wrestlers.”

Sandy Creek and McIntosh will join over 28 other teams in the South Metro tournament at McIntosh High School today. Wrestling action begins at 9 a.m.

The Patriots will wrestle in the Landmark tournament next Friday and Saturday.
