• Fincher graduates from Dalton State

Jaimee Lyn Fincher, of Peachtree City, was among the 538 students to graduate from Dalton State College on May 4. Fincher earned an Associate of Arts degree.

• Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society inducts new members

The Georgia Southern University chapter of the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society recently inducted 242 new members. To become a member of Phi Eta Sigma, a student must earn a GPA of 3.5 or greater during their freshmen year at the University. Local inductees include: Kevin Charles, of Peachtree City; Jaklyn Edelstein, of Fayetteville; Kelly Hadzick, of Peachtree City; Caitlin Haynes, of Peachtree City; and Matthew Penn, of Peachtree City.

• Ensell graduates from basic military training

Air Force Airman John P. Ensell has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations. In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Ensell is the son of Albert Ensell and Susa Ensell both of Peachtree City, Ga.

• Forsberg graduates from basic military training

Air Force Airman Michael J. Forsberg has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations. In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Forsberg is the son of John and Joyce Forsberg of Ebenezer Road, Fayetteville, Ga.

• Johnson graduates from basic military training

Air Force Airman Amanda R. Johnson has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations. In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force. She is the daughter of Renee Johnson of Tyrone, Ga.
