The senior high youth from Providence United Methodist Church in Fayetteville recently returned from a mission trip to Asheville, N.C. where they repaired, primed, and painted a house for a local resident.

They also gave the house a brand new roof and re-claimed the yard for its owner, Mrs. Margaret Israel, seen in the window.

The trip was in conjunction with ReCreation Experiences of Asheville which serves the greater Asheville area with home repair and refurbishments.

The Providence group was in Asheville from July 8 through July 14 with four full days on the site working on the home.

They had one “off” day and visited/hiked Chimney Rock.
