The 2007 REALTOR of the Year award was presented to Sue Monson, a Realtor and Team Leader at Keller Williams Realty South in Fayetteville by the Fayette County Board of REALTORS. The award was presented at the June General Membership Meeting held Tuesday, June 7, at Flat Creek Country Club in Peachtree City.

The prestigious award is presented annually to the REALTOR member representing “the best of us”. Ms. Monson has been an actively involved and contributing member of the Board since 1994. Her contributions and qualifications were reviewed and voted on by the Awards Committee and all nominees were evaluated on REALTOR Spirit, Civic Activity, Business Accomplishments, Board Activity, as well as State and National Association Activity. The REALTOR with the highest overall percentage is named REALTOR of the Year.

Presenting the award was Board President, Patti Harris Ayers and 2006 recipient, Cheri Scranage, who stated that “It was a thrill to present this award to my friend, whom I admire.”
Dorrie Marsh of Harry Norman, Realtors in Peachtree City was recognized as the other nominee up for the award.

“I am humbled and honored by this award. When I began my real estate career, my mentor told me “Get involved with the Board”, it has been such a rewarding experience to interact with my peer group and truly learn what it means to uphold the REALTOR Code of Ethics”, stated Ms. Monson. “Sue has been a role model for many in this industry and does, indeed represent the ‘best of us’, concluded Scranage.
