Donna Kersey, REALTOR at RE/MAX Around Atlanta All Stars in Fayetteville, spends countless hours each month volunteering at Metro State Prison. In addition to spending a minimum of two to three days each week at the prison, Ms. Kersey works with the Kairos Program two weekends each year and the first Saturday of every month. She also coordinates the volunteers for the Bible Literacy course teaching women who are reading at the second grade level and below, and assists with the Chaplaincy Library. Because of her extraordinary compassion to all and her willingness to devote endless hours to others, Warden Kevin Roberts declared Thursday, May 10, 2007, as “Donna Kersey Day” at Metro State Prison. This honor is one of many that Donna has received over the years which include being named “Volunteer of the Year” by the United Way for her work at Calvary Refuge Center, a homeless center in Forest Park. Barbara Pearson, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Around Atlanta All Stars, says she is so pleased that Donna was given this honor. She went on to say that Donna’s positive spirit and enthusiasm spill over into her real estate business as well and is proud that Donna has been with RE/MAX for over 20 years.
