Boy Scouts head west

Boy Scouts from Troop 75, sponsored by the Peachtree City United Methodist Church, headed to Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico in June for a rigorous 11-day, 56-mile trek in the Sangre de Cristo mountain range in the Rockies. Only Scouts who are at least 14 years old are eligible to attend Philmont. The Scouts have been training for several months under the direction of adult crew leaders Dave Pollard and Rich Shepherd. Pictured are (back row from left): co-crew leader Carl Eifert, Jim Jensen, Pollard, Tim Sullivan, Lukas Love, and Shepherd; (front row): Ben Brettin, Spencer Marion, Chaplain's aide Nate Shepherd, Nathan Vassey, and co-crew leader Thomas Marion.
