The McIntosh High School swim team won its second overall meet championship of the season Friday and Saturday at the Carrollton Holiday Invitational. The women took first and the men finished third among 14 schools, for team’s second combined victory.

In individual competition, the women were led by junior Nicole Roddenberry with a second in the 50-freestyle, sophomore Keaton Hannon with second in the 200-individual medley, and junior Rose Tortora with second in the 200-freestyle. Hannon added a third in the 100-butterfly. The women also won the 200-medley relay (Roddenberry, Hannon, Ariane Leblond and Allison Gair), and the 400-freestyle relay (Roddenberry, Hannon, Hannah Williams and Bailey Abercrombie), and claimed a fourth-place finish in the 200-freestyle relay (Roddenberry, Grace Robertson, Caroline Clark and Sarah Trapaga).

Senior Thomas Lucak led the men’s individual events for the Chiefs with firsts in the 50-freestyle and the 200-freestyle. Senior Bryan Mitchell captured two thirds, in the 200-individual medley and 100-breastroke. The men took first in the 400-freestyle relay (Matt Lee, Josh Day, Mitchell and Alex Harmon). The men also claimed fifth-place finishes in the 200-yard medley relay and 400-freestyle relay.
