FFUMC schedules summer pot luck dinners
Members of Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will have family pot luck dinners in the Family Life Center on July 11, 18 and 25 (Wednesdays) at 5:30 p.m. Reservations are not necessary. Bring friends, family and food to share. Paper products and lemonade will be provided. The church is in downtown Fayetteville across the street from the courthouse.

The Branches offers poetry and live music
The Branches Community Church will host a free evening of “Conversation, Poetry and Live Music” on Saturday, July 14, from 7-9 p.m. at the Hampton Inn, 110 Meeting Place in Fayetteville. Hartford UMC plans Men’s Day service
Hartford United Methodist Church (UMC) will celebrate Men’s Day, Sunday, July 15, at 2:30 p.m. to honor the men of the church. Special guest preacher will be the Rev. Frank Dean Jr., pastor of John Wesley UMC in Grantville. The service also will include selections by men’s choruses from participating churches. Hartford UMC is at 216 Padget Rd., off of Ga. Hwy. 85, just north of Starr’s Mill.

FFBC seniors to visit Billy Graham museum
Seniors (age 55 and older) at Fayetteville First Baptist Church will travel to Charlotte, N.C. next weekend, July 20 and 21, for a visit to the newly opened Billy Graham Library and Museum. The group also will enjoy the play, “Loaves and Fishes,” and will make a stop in Gaffney, S.C. on the way home to pick peaches and visit the outlet mall. The cost is $90 per person and includes motel (Holiday Inn Express), breakfast, dinner and theater. The museum is free.
