Retired Capt. and Mrs. Michael Grimes, USCG, of Fayetteville announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Suzanne Marie Grimes to Ian Allister Murray, son of retired Maj. and Mrs. Brian Murray, USMC, of Dumfries, Va. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William C. Jones of Milton, Fla., and retired Lt. Cmdr. Fred Grimes, USN, and the late Mae Grimes, of Florence, Ala. She is a 2002 graduate of C.D. Hylton High School in Woodbridge, Va. and a 2006 graduate of the University of North Florida. She earned a bachelor of fine arts in graphic design and currently is employed by JHT at the Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, Fla. The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Voris Stingel of Dundee, Ohio and Mrs. Edith Murray of Oberlin, Ohio. He also is a 2002 graduate of C.D. Hylton High School. He is a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps and has been on active duty for five years. He has recently returned from his second deployment to Iraq with the 2nd Tank Battalion of Camp Lejeune, N.C. and has orders to report for duty as an instructor to The Armor School, Fort Knox, Ky. The wedding will be Oct. 6, 2007, at the First Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City, with a reception to follow at Flat Creek Country Club. After a wedding trip, the couple will reside in Louisville, Ky. login to post comments |
