A training class on suicide prevention will be offered at Redemption Fellowship beginning Wednesday, July 18, at 7 p.m. The class will be taught by Col. Mike Higgins, senior pastor at Redemption and a chaplain with the U.S. Army. The class will be based on Higgins’ military training for suicide prevention. Topics will include warning signs of a suicidal person, how to listen to and talk with a suicidal person and other important facts. “Suicide is the eighth leading cause of death in the United States and is prevalent even among Christians,” Higgins said. “The public is cordially invited to attend this important and timely class.” Redemption Fellowship is at 418 Ga. Hwy. 279 in Fayetteville. Call the church office, 770-460-1220, for more information. login to post comments |
