Little Vine to host 7-7-7 Celebration
Little Vine Baptist Church in Tyrone will hold a “7-7-7 Celebration” on Saturday, July 7. A picnic will be held from noon until 7 p.m. and a tent revival will be held at 7 p.m. Dress is casual. Shorts and T-shirts are okay. Little Vine Baptist Church is at 115 Handley Rd., just off Tyrone Road, east of Ga. Hwy. 74.

Edgefield plans 7 a.m., 7 p.m. events July 7
Edgefield Baptist Church will hold a Prayer Service at 7 a.m. and a Worship Service at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2007. “As you know, “ said Senior Pastor Eddie Thomas, “In the Bible, seven is considered to be a perfect number. That makes this day and these times unique in this millennium and appropriate times to seek God’s face and to worship Him.” Edgefield Baptist is in downtown Fayetteville, just north of the Square, at 140 Church Street.

FFUMC to host blood drive this Sunday

New Jerusalem to celebrate Men’s Day
New Jerusalem Fellowship Church will celebrate its annual Men’s Day, Sunday, July 8,at 9 a.m. The theme is “Faith Through the Eyes of Christian Men.” The guest speaker will be Reverend Leroy R. Allison Durham Speer to perform in Griffin
Gaither Homecoming recording artist Allison Durham Speer will perform Sunday, July 8, at the Second Baptist Church, 501 W. Broad St. in Griffin. Corinth will host Three J Cafe July 14
Corinth Baptist Church will host Three J Café, a music and coffee house, Saturday, July 14, from 7-10 p.m. This month’s event will feature the bands “Joshua” and “Grave 2 Life.” Admission is free and concessions will be available. The church is at 398 Corinth Road, off Hwy 54 between Fayetteville and Jonesboro.

National Heights Baptist seeks food donations
The annual food Drive to benefit the Fayette Samaritans is being sponsored by National Heights Baptist Church during the month of July. Spearheading the effort is mission chair Debbie Relyea. Items especially needed are canned meats, peanut butter, jelly, spaghetti, spaghetti sauce, instant potatoes, dried beans, juices, and paper products such as toilet tissue and diapers. Donations may be placed in the collection barrel outside the church office throughout the month. National Heights is at the intersection of Old Norton Road and Ga. Greenberg is new director at FFUMC
South Carolina native Drew Greenberg has assumed duties as director of the Preschool and Mother’s Morning Out programs at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church. She replaces Jean Jones who retired after being director for 17 years. Greenberg has a bachelor of science degree from Charleston Southern University and has been a middle school and preschool teacher, most recently at Christ’s Church at Whitewater. She is married to Daryl Greenberg and has two daughters, Kathryn and Liza.

Campbellton UMC plans gospel concert
Campbellton United Methodist Church west of Fairburn will host a Southern Gospel concert Saturday, July 7, at 7 p.m.. featuring The Melody Boys Quartet from Little Rock, Ark. and Tere Ayers, from Douglasville. At 5:30 p.m. a lasagna dinner will be served.
