Mr. and Mrs. Tom Woody and Randy Smith of Peachtree City announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Ashley Martin Smith, to Jeffrey John Truitt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Truitt and Mr. and Mrs. James Gleason of Peachtree City.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Martin of Addison, Ala., and Paul Smith and the late Mildred Smith of Decatur, Ala. She is a 2002 cum laude graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in communications. She currently is a Realtor with The Home Source Realtors in Peachtree City.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Davis of Peachtree City and Mary Truitt and the late Oliver Truitt of Louisville, Ky. He is a 1999 graduate of the University of Georgia and currently is a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch in Peachtree City.

The wedding will be July 21, 2007, at Dunaway Gardens in Newnan. Following a honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Peachtree City.
