Joycelynn Foster, a sophomore at Fayette Christian School, has been nominated to attend the 2007 National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine. Foster, daughter of Johnny Gordon and Augusta Gordon of McDonough, plans to attend medical school after college.

Foster was one of 350 high school students across America chosen to participate this summer in this program designed to help students experience firsthand what it's like to be a physician. Students are chosen based upon academic excellence, leadership potential, and intent to pursue a career in medicine.

The National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine is a ten-day program for young people planning careers in medicine and is in its 13 year of existence. Sessions are held at some of the most prestigious medical institutions in our country.
