Rosenberg, Shemesh to speak at Jonesboro First Baptist July 8

Joel Rosenberg and Av Shemesh will be featured morning and evening guest speakers at Jonesboro First Baptist Church Sunday, July 8.

Rosenberg, a best-selling author and an evangelical Christian from an orthodox Jewish heritage, will speak at both the 8 and 10:45 a.m. services.

Rosenberg is founder and president of the Joshua Fund, a nonprofit charitable and educational organization that provides humanitarian relief for victims of war and terrorism in Israel and the Muslim world. Rosenberg lives in Washington, D.C.

Shemesh, a veteran of the Israeli Army, is a trained archaeologist who led the excavation of Emmaus. He will speak at the 6 p.m. service on “Old and New Testament Prophesy Fulfilled.”

Shemesh has served as a tour guide for various pastors in Israel, speaks six languages fluently and holds a degree in Biblical studies from Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
