The band, shurman, which features McIntosh graduates Aaron Beavers (lead vocals, electric and acoustic guitars) and Damon Allen (drums and vocals), will perform Friday night, June 29 at The Red Room at 9 p.m.

The band rose to popularity with their debut release "Jubilee," and has grown a solid fan base with lots of touring around the United States. They have opened for bands like Blues Traveler in the past and have appeared in famous venues like Red Rocks. Though the band is consistently making a name for themselves, they haven't hit it truly big just yet. Tonight's show gives people a great opportunity to see this band in an intimate venue.

shurman is set to release another album this fall and their music is currently featured on the NBC drama “Friday Night Lights.”
