Fairburn’s newest business on Ga. Highway 74 is expected to open this weekend. Animal Medical Clinic of Fairburn is located just north of the Fayette County line near Black Jack Motorcycles.

The small animal clinic will be situated on .73 acres and will include a 3,400 square-foot building with space for an additional 1,500 square feet if needed. Fairburn council members last year approved the site plan for the small animal clinic and gave approval for landscaping plans earlier this month.

The Animal Medical Clinic of Fairburn is associated with The Animal Medical Clinic in Peachtree City. Drs. Vince Obsitnik, Jeff Richardson and William Landrum currently provide medical and surgical services in the Peachtree City office. Dr. Chris Schwenk will be the Director of Medical Services at the Fairburn office.

Both of The Animal Medical Clinic facilities are full-service animal hospitals with surgical suites for appointed and emergency surgeries, in-house laboratories, radiology suites and complete pharmacies, according to clinic staff. Their doctors perform in-house surgery, aided by state-of-the-art equipment and technology, to ensure that each animal gets the safest and best available care. Surgeries performed include soft tissue, orthopedic and dental procedures. The doctors at both of the Animal Medical Clinic offices utilize carbon dioxide surgical lasers for most of their surgeries. Their in-house diagnostic suites feature sophisticated ultrasound and echocardiography, modern X-Ray equipment, blood chemistry analysis and EKG. In addition, they utilize the services of a large national veterinary diagnostic laboratory and consultation service.

The Animal Medical Clinic in Peachtree City is located at 405 Hwy. 74 North.
