Enjoy the nostalgia of a drive in movie with the energy of a neighborhood block party! Southern Outdoor Cinema is bringing evenings of free family fun to Newnan on June 22, July 27 and August 10, when it shows family-friendly movies in Carl Miller Park during their Second Annual “StonePoint Church presents Movies in the Park.” Movies in the Park Newnan hosted an audience of over 500 people in its first season.

Pre-movie entertainment begins at 6 p.m., when families can enjoy entertainment such as NoJoe’s Clown Circus, face painting, moonwalk and inflatable slide. Free movies begin at dusk and will be shown on Southern Outdoor Cinema’s huge two story tall inflatable movie screen.

Bring lawn chairs, a blanket and a picnic, or enjoy concessions that will be available at the parks. No alcoholic beverages or glass containers are allowed.

“Nothing is more relaxing than spending a warm summer night with family, friends and neighbors,” says Paul Murray, Southern Outdoor Cinema owner and organizer of the “Movies in the Park” series. “Check out our free films and add some fun to your summer schedule.”

Movies in the Park are sponsor-supported events. This year, Movies in the Park-Newnan has partnered with StonePoint Church, Toyota of Newnan, Bank of Coweta, Southern Outdoor Cinema, NoJoe’s Clown Circus, and Atlanta Babies & Kids.
