Martha Denson Feagans, 87, Conyers, died Dec. 3, 2005. She was born April 24, 1918 in Carrollton, daughter of John P. and Lula W. Denson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Herman Lamar Feagans, and a son, John Stephen. At a young age, her family moved to the Kirkwood Community in southeast Atlanta. Her father was a barber and her mother operated a restaurant here. When she married, she and her husband remained in the community and reared their children here. They later moved to Decatur and then to the Conyers area. She was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church. Graveside services were at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta. Survivors include sons, H. Lamar and Sandra Feagans, Fayetteville, and G. Larry and Shirley Feagans, Ashville; a daughter, Kay F. and Ricky Ricks, Conyers; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a niece, Shirley D. Waddell, Lakeland, Fla. Scot Ware Funeral Services, Conyers, was in charge.
