It’s an upgrade intended to keep pace with the changing face of a city that has nearly tripled in size in the past seven years. Marketing consultant Pat Pallend June 11 gave Fairburn City Council a tour of the city’s newly expanding website. New to the site are city council agendas and meeting minutes, commonly used forms and applications and virtual tours.

Pallend said the site also includes information for newcomers, including contact numbers for city hall, fire and police and for county contacts such as the tag office, school system, health department and voter registration. Contact numbers and addresses are available for Fairburn utilities, trash collection, cable and internet service, gas and telephone service, county property tax and vehicle registration.

Virtual tours currently on-line include a tour of Fairburn, the celebration of the fire department’s first anniversary and a look at Fairburn Farmer’s Market. The ongoing website expansion includes a history of the city, a calendar of events, information on economic development and city department listings, Pallend said.

Meeting agendas for the Fairburn Planning & Zoning Commission are now posted and will soon include meeting minutes, Pallend said. Also coming soon will be the inclusion of city municipal codes, Pallend said.
