Registrations for Rotary Safety Town classes are filling up fast but there are still some openings available in all scheduled sessions, said Jeff Warlick, Rotary Safety Town manager.

Rotary Safety Town is a program that targets children about to enter the first grade and provides personal safety training in a fun summer camp atmosphere. Classes will include bike and pedestrian safety, stranger danger, fire prevention, poison safety, and school bus safety.

Each class will be a one week session (five days) that will be from two and a half to three hours long.

It is planned to have both morning and afternoon sessions over an eight week period during the summer. Classes will be limited to no more than 25 students. Classes will be offered at the following schools and dates: Kedron Elementary, June 25-29; Kedron Elementary, July 9-13; Braelinn Elementary, July 16-20; and Braelinn Elementary, July 23-27.

Parents may register their children who are going into the first grade in the fall by going online to www.rotarysafetytown.org and downloading an application. The price for a one week session is $30. For more information go the Rotary Safety Town website listed above.
