PTC future on table at town hall meeting Tuesday

Peachtree City Mayor Harold Logsdon will host a town hall meeting Tuesday focusing on current and future growth, transportation and redevelopment issues.

The meeting will be held at City Hall from 7-9 p.m. and will feature several speakers on those issues. Also, citizens will have a chance to ask questions to those speakers.

Panelists include former Peachtree City Mayors Steve Brown, Bob Lenox and Fred Brown in addition to current Fayette County Commission Chairman Jack Smith. Also on the panel will be Charles “Chick” Kraulter, director of the Atlanta Regional Commission; Kofi Wakhisi, project manager of ARC’s Southern Regional Accessibility Study; Matt Forshee, president & CEO of the Fayette County Development Authority; and Mark Gray, immediate past chairman of the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce.

Additional panel members who will participate in the discussion and field questions are Mark Sandford, project engineer of the Ga. Highway 74 Widening Project for the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT); State Representative Dan Lakly, whose district includes Peachtree City; State Senator Ronnie Chance, whose district includes Peachtree City; and State Representative Billy Horne, whose district includes Coweta County.

Members of the Coweta County Board of Commissioners were also invited, but cannot attend due to a conflicting Commission meeting. The Coweta Commissioners have indicated that they will respond to any questions forwarded to them from the Town Hall meeting.
