Horace "Bud" Shelton, 69, Fayetteville, died June 8, 2007. He was born Feb. 7, 1938 in Gwinnett County. He was a 12-year veteran in the United States Army, with service in Vietnam. Services were at the Fayetteville Christian Church with the Rev. Dan Roberts officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Frederick Shelton, Fayetteville; a son, Michael and Diane Shelton, Fayetteville; a daughter, Suzi Puckett, Jefferson, Ga.; grandchildren, Samantha Bennett, Christopher Bennett, Amanda Hightower, Stephen Shelton, and Spencer Shelton; a great-granddaughter, Chloe Bennett; and a brother, James and Laura Shelton, Lebanon, Ore. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
