David R. Allen, 53, Covington, died May 25, 2007. He was born Oct. 1, 1954 in Dade County, Fla. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Roy Allen. He had a sense of humor and loved being with his family, playing the guitar, and fly-fishing. Services were at the Stewart Baptist Church, Covington, with the Rev. Jerry Jones officiating. Interment was at the Stewart Baptist Church cemetery. Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Joan Allen, Covington, mother, Betty S. Allen, Fayetteville; a son, Chris and Shena Marable, Covington; a daughter, Loquita and Keith Buckhault, Covington; a sister, Denese and Jim Sproul, Fayetteville; grandchildren, Keith Buckhault, Autumn Prevost, Drew Buckhault, Blayne Marable, Savannah Toth; a nephew, Joe Strickland; a niece, Natalie Brockway; and best friend, Martin Rutledge.
