Mary E. Manto, 90, New Castle, Pa., died May 10, 2007. She was born April 2, 1917 in New Castle, the daughter of Biagio and Mary Masterpieto Cast. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael E. Manto, who died July 21, 1992, and whom she married Jan. 4, 1940, as well as two brothers, and two sisters. She had worked at the former Shenango China as a handler in the cup shop for 25 years. She enjoyed ceramics, gardening, sewing, and cooking. She was a member of St. Vitus Church and its ladies guild. Services were at St. Vitus Church with interment at Castle View Memorial Gardens. Survivors include a son, William M. and Margaret Manto, Hiawassee, Ga.; a daughter, Anna Marie and Thomas P. Natale, Peachtree City; a brother, John Cast, New Castle; four sisters; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
