The DOT announced Friday that lane closures in both north and south bound lanes of Interstate 85 will continue from June 11 through June 14 at varying locations south of Hwy.34. These closures will shift daily within these locations.  This closure is due to the widening and lane reconstruction project currently underway.  Shoulders are closed in these construction areas, and extreme caution should be observed.
North Bound - From Milepost 41 to 42 the outside lane will be closed June 11 through June 14 from 7 p.m. through 5 a.m. the following day. All lanes are open from 5 a.m. through 7 p.m. daily)
 The outside lane at Milepost 34 to 33 will be closed June 12 through June 13, from 7 a.m. to 4  p.m.
South  Bound  - the outside lane will be closed from Milepost 34 to 33 June 11, through June 12, 2007, from 7 a.m. to 4  p.m.
The project is expected to be completed December 31, 2009.
