Registration for those interested in participating in the Annual Peachtree City July 4th parade is underway for all of Fayette County.

Fayette County residents, service organizations, non-profit organizations and churches can register for a fee of $25. All Fayette County businesses can register for a $50 fee.

Any vendors that are interested can contact the Peachtree City Parks and Recreation Department for an application.

This year’s parade will be held on Wednesday, July 4, beginning at 9 a.m.

The parade will begin on Peachtree Parkway near the Braelinn Golf Course, will proceed north on Peachtree Parkway, crossing over Crosstown Road, will turn left onto McIntosh Trail and will disperse at Huddleston Elementary School and McIntosh Trail Recreation Complex.

Keep in mind that the city is asking residents not to lay claim and reserve a place to watch the parade days in advance.

The unattended blankets have raised complaints from residents arriving at a more reasonable time to claim a spot only to find hundreds of blankets and chairs unattended.
