Former Starr's Mill and Lipscomb standout Casey Bond, an outfielder, was drafted Friday by the San Francisco Giants with the 764th overall pick in the Major League Baseball Draft.

Bond is the second local player drafted by the San Francisco today; former McIntosh ace John King was picked by the Giants with 524th overall selection in the 17th round.
