Monster musical comes to the Villages

Fayette Coweta Family Theatre will present the monster musical “Little Shop of Horrors” this weekend, June 8-10, at the Villages Amphitheater. Gates open at 7 p.m. and the show will begin at 8 p.m. each evening.

The show features a cast of professional teen performers who all have extensive backgrounds in vocal performance and stage acting.

Caitlin Wade portrays the gentle and insecure Audrey who secretly loves Seymour yet feels she is not good enough for him. So she allows herself to be mistreated by the evil Orin Scirvello, DDS. Wade is an accomplished vocalist and a seasoned actress and is the 2004 FCFT Directors' Award recipient and has been featured or starred in numerous school productions, church musicals, community theatre presentations and professional theatre presentations throughout south Atlanta.

Brent Davis will take on the role of clumsy Seymour in this production. Davis serves FCFT as assistant music director, choreographer and is a member of both FCFT professional companies. He is an accomplished violinist and sings professionally at weddings and other events.

Ronnette, Crystal and Chiffon will be played by a trio of actresses of which one is the 2006 FCFT Directors' Award winner, Stephanie Earle, who plays Ronnette. Sarah Stitt or Maria DeCotis will play Chiffon and Lizzie Spratt takes on the role of Crystal.

Other cast members include Michael Reep as Mr. Mushnik and the Voice of Audrey II, Levi Gentry as Orin Scivella, DDS with ensemble parts being brought to life through McKenna Ceci, Hannah Herndon, Hannah Lewis, Tad Durden and Anna Lisicia.

Admission at the gate is $12 general and $10 for children under 13 and seniors 55+. Pre-sale tickets or reservations are a flat $10 for everyone.
