Christian City, a nonprofit, nondenominational organization serving abandoned and neglected children as well as seniors, the elderly and the infirm, is calling on the community for help. In addition to cash donations and Child Sponsorships, the following is a list of needs for the Home for Children for the month of June: canned fruits and vegetables, pastas, frozen meals, batteries, movie passes, dish soap and dish detergent, hand soap (refill and dispensers), toothpaste, toothbrushes and dental floss, paper towels, tissues, Bandaids, paper plates, cups and napkins, cereal, water bottles, and gift cards to WalMart, Kroger, Ingles, Publix, and Blockbuster. Christian City, located in Union City, relies on community support to continue to meet the needs of the children in their care.
