The Centre for Performing and Visual Arts in association with the STAR Encore program will hold auditions for principal and supporting roles for the musical “Little Women” on Monday, June 11, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at The Centre.

Coweta County high school graduates from 2006 and prior are eligible to audition. Auditions are by appointment only and may be scheduled by calling the Centre at 770-254-2787.

“Little Women” will be directed by Newnan High School’s Bob Ramseur. Audition packets with all necessary guidelines are available for pick up at The Centre for Performing and Visual Arts from 8:00 am to 4:00 p.m. through this Friday, June 8, or may be received by email by calling Robin Tucker or Chrissie Knott at the Centre.

The STAR Encore production of Little Women will be performed August 9, 10 and 11 at the Lower Fayetteville Road Centre. It is one of three STAR performances this summer.

STAR will perform “Our Town” on July 12, 13 and 14 at 7 p.m., during a dinner-under-the-stars evening at Coweta’s Dunaway Gardens. On the following week, “Into the Woods” will be performed on the Centre stage on June 19, 20 and 21. Both productions are directed by Michael Scialabba, an Atlanta-area professional director and producer who has helmed previous STAR productions.

Tickets for the upcoming STAR shows will be on sale mid-June at the Centre and at Scotts Bookstore and Morgan Jewelers. For more information, call the Centre for Performing and Visual Arts at 770-254-ARTS (254-2787).
