Imagine this happening to you: one Saturday morning, you head out to your garage, ready to take your kids to their sports games. But the garage door doesn’t open. The spring system has broken and your car is stuck inside.

This is a true story. Fortunately for the local resident it happened to, she called Southern Overhead Door, a locally owned company in Fayetteville specializing in garage door sales, service and installation. The company immediately sent a service technician to her home, replaced the spring, and she was able to take both of her kids to their games.

“Our customers are our first priority,” owner Todd Davis explains. At Southern Overhead Door, the focus is on exceeding the expectations of their customers with prompt courteous service and affordable rates. The company is proud to be able to serve the local community as well as the metro Atlanta area.

When it comes to selling new garage doors, Southern Overhead Doors pledges to beat any competitors cost on the same or similar product, including the superstores. “After you have shopped the rest, call the best,” Davis says. “One call does it all and you can speak with a knowledgeable sales person who will assist you in purchasing a professionally installed garage door or garage door operator that fits your lifestyle and your budget.”

In order to offer such quick and affordable repair service, Davis makes sure his service trucks stock garage door and garage door operator parts, ensuring the fastest service at a competitive rate. He also recommends that customers know a little about their garage door when they call for service. Some questions that will typically be asked include:

• What is the door size?
• What is the door made of? Wood or steel?
• How old is the door?
• What type of spring system is used?
• Is there an electric opener and what is the manufacturer?

“We want to involve our customers in the conversation so we can provide the best service possible,” Davis explains. “By asking our customers for this information, we can help them learn in the process.”

Davis has been in the garage door business for seven years. A little over a year ago, he decided to open his own business and it has been continuing to grow. “I am enjoying the fact that after working hard and gaining great knowledge over the past several years, I am able to use it to run my own business,” he says.

Southern Overhead Doors offers sales, service and installation of garage doors and electric operators. They specialize in both residential and commercial properties across the metro Atlanta area. The company is an authorized deal or Windsor and Mid America doors, and also offers remote or wireless/keyless remote transmitters and accessories.

Summertime specials include a ten percent discount for senior citizens, a free keypad with the purchase of a garage door opener and discounts on the purchase and installation of garage doors.

Southern Overhead Doors is located at 145 Walter Way in Fayetteville. Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Night, weekend and emergency service is available. For more information, call 404-392-4449.
