Starting Dec. 2, Clayton State University’s Nurse Managed Clinic will be offering flu shots to the public on a first-come-first-served basis and, with more than 300 shots available, there is plenty to go around.

The clinic is open Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It closes daily from noon to 1 p.m. for lunch. Please call the Nurse Managed Clinic at 770-961-3459 to make an appointment for a flu shot. The clinic serves only the Clayton State campus — except during flu season when vaccine is available. Costs for vaccinations are $20 for the general public, $15 for faculty and staff and $12 for Clayton State students with a Laker Card.

The Nurse Managed Clinic, supervised by Terrilyn Lemons, R.N. an instructor of Nursing at Clayton State, performs a wide array of services for the Clayton State community including assessments and treatment for acute primary care health care issues, immunizations, minor illness and injury management, allergy shots, laboratory tests, and health education. They also maintain all student health records. Every Wednesday, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Dr. D. Ann Travis, family practice physician, is on site to provide professional medical assessments and services.

Clayton State University, located in Morrow, is a state university of the University System of Georgia serving the Metro Atlanta region.
