Another portion of the Olde Towne Tyrone development met with approval by the planning commission Thursday with a unanimous vote on the preliminary site plan for Lot 9, site of a 14,858 square-foot commercial building located along Tyrone-Palmetto Road near Swanson Road. Representing Burt Clark and Scott Seymour, Trent Ratliff agreed with the conditions of the recommendation, which included adding a multi-use path on the 2.32-acre site, installing a pedestrian walkway for the parallel parking spaces to be located along Tyrone-Palmetto Road and adding a dumpster area and exterior lighting to the plans. Tenants to be located in the building have not been determined, Ratliff said, though it will be a 360-degree building with shops on all sides. Entrances will be covered, and located on the front and rear of the building. Parking will be largely in the rear of the building, where more than 80 spaces were identified on the site plan. Several spaces will available for parallel parking along Tyrone-Palmetto Road. Ratliff will return will a request for approval of the final site plan at a later date. Lots 2-8 were previously approved for recommendation to the town council. Located on 7.3 acres between Swanson Road and the privately-maintained Olde Towne Avenue, plans call for constructing seven buildings of approximately 5,200 square feet. Lots 2-7 are situated on one acre each, with Lot 8 on 1.3 acres. As conceived, the total project includes nine buildings on 11.64 acres. login to post comments |
